Abstract: (33 Views) |
In today’s digital world, educational systems are faced with the challenge of designing and implementing curricula that aim at bringing about digitally aware, responsible, and capable citizens. Knowing the sociological foundations of such curricula is required if they are to be successful in producing digital citizenry. To deduce this knowledge, the findings of 18 research reports in this area were combined and re-categorized in five categories: social cohesion and technology, development of digital societies, recreation of digital democracy, comprehensive digital developments, and basic digital rights; each having implications that could help the designers of teacher training curricula to do their job more fruitfully. |
