A Model for Helping Iranian Elementary School Students Develop their Creativity

Given the abundance of indices of low creativity among Iranian students, it was sought to develop a model for helping them develop their creativity further by interviewing 20 experts in this area. The results were 648 conceptual statements categorized in 21 major areas with 71 extensions all within a conceptual model consisting of six dimensions: definition of creativity and its development, causes, prerequisite conditions, environmental conditions, strategies, and consequences. Given the main pillar of the conceptual model, i.e. the development of creativity, all areas and their extensions were unified based on the existing relationships among them in order to bring about the desired model for creativity development.
