Impediments to the Deployment of Knowledge Management Program in the Provincial Department of Education in Yazd

To identify the impediments to the deployment of knowledge management program in the provincial department of education in Yazd, a questionnaire was completed by a carefully selected sample of 20 departmental staff at Yazd’s district one representing different areas of expertise. Using the FMEA techniques, 23 factors were identified as impediments to a successful launching of the knowledge management program. Poor reward and motivating system, inadequate budget, poor organizational culture, lack of an appropriate implementation plan, and educational preparation of the staff are among the most important factors identified.
