Assuming low resilience and high risk taking behaviors among female high school students in Ahvaz, it was hypothesized that perhaps messianic teachings could affect such tendencies. To test this hypothesis a group of 32 students were selected and then randomly assigned to two groups, one of which went through a 12 session course on messianic teachings with each session lasting for 75 minutes. Both groups’ resilience and tendency towards risky behaviors were assessed both before and after the intervention. The validity and reliability of instruments was assumed. Data analyses yielded the expected positive effect of the course. Hence, the use of the course is recommended to those working in this field.
