Given the absence of theoretical models of governance that would be based on Islamic perspective, the common models of governance within the educational systems are mostly based on western paradigms, and as a result, incompatible with the foundations of Islamic thinking. To right this wrong, it was deemed appropriate to explore the supreme leader’s thoughts on the matter as expressed in the sermons given over the period of 1989-2023. The findings of this exploration are organized within a model consisting of four sets of factors: Basic, Causal, Progression, and Impeding. The main axis of the model consists of six basic characteristics (ex. Fighting corruption, flexibility, …), seven strategies (including seeking popular participation, fighting spirit, spirituality, …), five consequences (ex. Scientific power, elitism, …), and finally five basic ideals that include the establishment of a modern Islamic civilization, realization of truly clean life through getting dissolved in the very essence of the almighty, reestablishment of national pride, reaching scientific authority, and establishment of an Islamic educational system. |
