Given the critical situation during the pandemic, exploration of appropriate evaluation methods could be of a significant help to elementary school teachers. Towards this objective, a group of 17 experienced teachers who had taught during the COVID19 pandemic, as well as a random sample of 382 elementary school teachers across Fars Province answered questions on most appropriate methods of evaluation. The answers of the first group were used, alongside other sources, to construct the questionnaire that was sent electronically to the second group. Data analyses revealed that in the eyes of these teachers oral examinations, quick short answers, multiple assessment, and use of diverse sources are the more efficient ways of evaluation during the COVID crisis. In other words, interactive methods of evaluation are more efficient and the identification of these methods can help teachers improve their teaching. |
