Today’s educational systems across the world are aiming at producing graduates with research personalities in order to meet the challenges facing them in many different domains. However, the dimensions and constituents of such a personality need to be identified and nurtured in order to achieve the goal of developing a research personality in students. To this end, a group of 30 university professors, associate professors, and assistant professors was identified in order to complete a questionnaire constructed based on the opinions of experts on the topic. The data was factor analyzed to explore dimensions and constituents, yielding 7 significant dimensions and 63 constituents. Dimensions are as the following: problem-based culture, scientific dignity, explorative orientation, communication, evaluation, technological literacy, and sharing. Thus, by concentrating on these dimensions the development of research personalities among students can be nurtured.
