Abstract:   (4265 Views)

Nowadays volunteers are a valuable human resource for organizations. As a result, administrators need to be familiar with the very concept and ways of managing volunteers. The purpose of this study has been to help the administrators within the Ministry of Education to better take advantage of the volunteer work force especially within the sport clubs. To this end, both the spiritual intelligence and the motivation of a sample of volunteers working within the MOE’s sport clubs were measured using specially made instruments. The sample consisted of 260 of the total 806 such volunteers. Data analyses revealed a low ranking for critical thinking and conscious development as well as for socio-professional motivation. While the two constructs show a significant correlation, the male and female volunteers exhibited significant differences in critical thinking, conscious development, and socio-professional motivation. It is suggested that sport administrators in the MOE utilize such scientific findings in dealing with volunteers.
