Along with the progress made in information technology, innovations in teaching and learning are rampant as well. Learners benefitting from those changes are eager to cooperate and play a constructive role in order to show their competencies. Present research is an attempt at showing the extent to which production of electronic content by students can help them show their ideal self. To this end, consequent to high school students’ participation in the process of teaching in which electronic content was produced, a sample of 20 students was interviewed on the effects of their experience on their ideal self-concept. Data analysis revealed two levels of exposing the ideal self: the personal and the collective. At the personal level their ability in producing content, self- exploration, self-leadership, self-belief, and self-evaluation were positively affected. At the collective level their occupational assessment, acceptable self, desirable self-image, self-actualization, and self-modeling were improved. |
