Given the Quranic teachings on economic issues, textbooks are expected to be an arena for their presentation. To see the extent to which such a presentation is undertaken all elementary school textbooks in the 2021-2022 school year, were content analyzed using an instrument constructed based on derived teachings from the holy Quran. The validity and reliability of the instrument used was assessed to be acceptable. Findings are indicative of inadequate coverage of Quranic teachings on economy. The mostly covered area is that of occupation and income while the least attended subject is corruption and envy. There is no mention of economic sanction! The covered subjects are mostly in the Social Studies textbooks, while their coverage in the Thought & Research textbook is the least. The same difference is observed between the 6th and 1st grade textbooks.
