The Goals and Necessity of Blended Learning in Elementary School Multi-Grade Classrooms

To identify the goals and necessity of blended learning in elementary school classrooms, in addition to a thorough literature search, a group of 15 experts in learning, technology, and teaching multi-grade classrooms was interviewed. Data analysis revealed 3 main goals, 11 objectives, and 44 concepts, the validity, reliability, transferability, and verifiability of which was established using Lincoln and Goya method as well as expert views. The three main goals are reinforcement of the educational system’s effectiveness and efficiency, expansion of educational justice all around, and adaptation to the developments in the world of technology.
