Abstract: (4511 Views) |
To determine the extent of the electro-techniques students' preparedness in order to assess their success in learning the practical skills and attitudes prescribed by the curriculum, a cluster sample of administrators, teachers, students, and interns at those vocational schools having students in electro-techniques was selected. Data collection instruments included two questionnaires and a course exam. One of the questionnaires was used in interviewing the administrators while the other was used to assess the views of students. Results of data analyses show that the administrators consider students preparedness and interest as average while the students themselves rate themselves below average. Considering the course objectives, students do not have the required competence. Generally, however, it can be said that the attitudinal objectives are minimally met.
