Aiming at the improvement of both curriculum and evaluation methods in high school religious courses, the opinions of 97 teachers of these courses were sought using a questionnaire of assumed validity and reliability. The findings are indicative of the need for reform in both areas. Respondents prefer oral and descriptive testing as well as qualitative and quantitative evaluation. They indicated their dislike for giving grades in these courses. They are also of the opinion of changing the way these courses are conducted, as they prefer them to be in the form of meeting with religious personalities and well-known reciters, visiting mosques, and holding classes in the prayer rooms. If the opinions of these teachers matter, it is suggested that those in charge reconsider both the evaluation method and the way these courses are held.
