Given the numerous environmental threats brought about by human activities, it is essential that school children be taught the values of environmental protection in order to make the continuity of life possible. Hence, green schools have become instrumental in approaching this objective. However, such schools need to be created based on well-established criteria if they are to be successful. Such criteria cover not only the physical environment of such schools, but their organizational culture and educational goals as well. Given that such schools are about to be established in Iran, appropriate standards need to be set in advance in order to limit possible damages brought about by the well-intended, and yet inadequately informed individuals setting out to establish such schools. Such standards are identified herein using the Fuzzy approach and guidelines given as to assist the administrators of such schools in better managing the environment.
